The assembled mold will be installed on the injection molding machine for the initial trial molding. This is the final test to verify the success of the mold design and manufacturing.
During the trial molding, engineers will adjust various parameters of the injection molding machine, such as temperature, pressure, injection speed, and cooling time. After the high-quality molded product is produced, it needs to undergo rigorous inspection: Are the dimensions correct? Is the wall thickness uniform? Are there any surface defects (such as shrinkage marks or air bubbles)? Is the handle full and easy to demold? How is the seal between the bucket opening and the lid?
Usually, the initial trial molding is not perfect. It may be necessary to fine-tune the mold based on the trial molding results, such as polishing a certain area to improve surface gloss, modifying a venting groove to eliminate air bubbles, or adjusting the position of an ejector pin to facilitate demolding. This process may need to be repeated several times until the produced plastic buckets fully meet the design requirements.
The final accepted mold will be carefully cleaned, coated with anti-rust oil, and ready for delivery to the customer for mass production. In the injection molding workshop, such a set of molds can produce a complete plastic bucket in one or two minutes, working day and night, demonstrating the efficiency and power of industrial production.
